The Surly Steamroller Frameset returns, bringing back the steel single-speed and fixed-gear platform that became a cult favourite among commuters, bike messengers, and the Surly obsessed. Built around a street-proof, double-butted 4130 Chromoly steel frame, the Steamroller combines road bike geometry with track bike features to create a responsive, durable frameset designed for everything from daily commutes to potholes, shortcuts, urban trails, and back alleys.

The Steamroller pairs 120mm rear spacing, a track-legal bottom bracket height, and track crank compatibility with everyday practicality, including rim brake mounts, cleaner rear brake cable routing, and clearance for up to 700 × 38mm tires. Offered exclusively as a frameset, it provides a blank canvas for building the single-speed or fixed-gear bike you want. All the better to Make It Your Own.
