There’s something really fun about giving a bike a whole new feel without replacing it. Handlebar swaps are a great way to shake things up.

Jacob brought us his Velo Orange Polyvalent to make the switch from geared drop bar to single speed flat bar, turning a great bike into something that felt completely new. This is a frame that's designed to do it all, and the before and after is proof of its range.

Changing up handlebars takes consideration and Jacob really thought this one through. He brought us the Nitto x Blue Lug B812 bar, and decided on Paul brake levers, crankset and chain tensioner, Sim Works quill stem, Wolf Tooth chainring, and Surly single speed kit and cassette cog. Full parts breakdown below!

The Polyvalent is a steel frame that's equally as beautiful as it is versatile. Depending on how the light hits the black frame; the metallic in the paint makes it appear purple, green or blue. We loved Jacob's existing drop bar set up, but we loved the flat bar vision he came in with even more. Our mechanic Matthew had an absolute blast making these updates and can confirm, it rides as good as it looks!
