Aquatabs purifies water for camping, hiking, boating and international travel. Aquatabs are effective against Giardia cysts, bacteria and viruses, making water safe for drinking, brushing teeth, cooking and washing fruits, vegetables and produce.
Aquatabs are Iodine-Free, Chlorite-Free and individually foil sealed with a 5-year shelf life from the date of manufacturer. When dissolved in water, Aquatabs produce a measured dose of free chlorine.
Aquatabs are the world’s largest selling effervescent water purification tablets that kill micro-organisms in water to prevent diseases such as cholera, typhoid, dysentery and other diseases that can be contracted when drinking contaminated water. Agency (EPA) for routine treatment of drinking water,; meets European Standards for drinking water (EN12931: 2000) and the World Health Organization (WHO)/The Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) specs for drinking water.

Directions |
This product is recommended for disinfecting raw or pre-treated (settled, coagulated and/ or filtered) water supplies intended for use as drinking water for humans. The source of water to be treated may be a river, lake, well, cistern or similar system at temperatures as low as 4° C. Prior to the addition of the sanitizer, remove all suspended material by filtration or by allowing it to settle to the bottom. Decant the clarified, contaminated water to a clean container before adding sanitizer. Add one tablet to 1 litre (33.8 oz) of clear, room temperature (20° C) water free of organic debris. For dirty, cloudy, stained and/or cold (4° C) water, double dosage to two tablets. Mix well for at least 10 minutes, leave to stand for 30 minutes before drinking.
