Collection: Winter Solstice Ride: What Megan's Wearing!
When it's 0 degrees out, it's all about the balancing act between staying warm without overheating especially as we'll be stopping mid-ride to enjoy a bonfire.
👕 On top, I'll be wearing an Icebreaker 260 weight baselayer. ZoneKnit is designed specifically for being active, so it's my go to. As it's relatively mild, I'll skip the midlayer and put a weatherproof shell on top.Â
👖 On the bottom, I'll be wearing the 7mesh TK1 bib tights. These are both insulated with a cozy fleece inner and they have a DWR coating, so if things get wet or muddy, they'll keep the spray at bay!
🧤 I get coldest on my fingers and toes, so I'll go with my warmest glove - the 45NRTH Sturmfist 4. On my feet I'll be wearing Icebreaker medium weight socks and the new 45NRTH Ragnarok boots. I'll pack a set of hand and toe warmers just in case.
🧢 Topping it off, I'll have my go to 45NRTH Greazy merino cycling cap and 7mesh Chilco neck warmer. The Chilco fabric is my favourite, it really does insulate and breathe so you stay warm without getting too hot and having to stop to layer down.
