The 2025 Salsa Timberjack SLX 29 combines aggressive trail performance with bikepacking versatility in a single hardtail platform. It starts with a modern 6061-T6 alloy frame featuring Alternator 2.0 dropouts, allowing fine-tuning of chainstay length or transitions between geared and singlespeed setups. Cable routing is fully internal for a clean look and reliable shifting in all conditions.
Suspension comes via a 140 mm RockShox Psylo Silver RC fork, providing a planted ride through rough terrain without compromising pedalling efficiency. Paired with Shimano SLX/Deore 1×12 drivetrain and Shimano MT420 4-piston brakes, this build balances durability and value. Shimano MT400/MT410 hubs on WTB ST i30 rims allow quick engagement and on-trail service.
Adventure-ready features include dual wheel compatibility (29″ or 27.5+), three bottle cages (top tube + triangle), rack-mounts, and full frame-bag integration. The polished balance of capability and kit makes the Timberjack SLX ideal for aggressive trail rides, bikepacking, or daily exploration.
